The Kaylim Seed Bed Spray
is designed to allow economic and even watering of the seedbed.
It reduces the labour requirement and allows control of
the water applied.
It is supplied in 30 metres lengths, providing an optimum
coverage by design. In pipe longer than this, the effectiveness
of the Kaylim is reduced due to limitations of pump pressure
and frictional loss caused. The coverage width is 2 beds.
One bed 4' 6" (approx. 137cm) with an 18" (approx.
46cm) width either side, subject to wind conditions.
The pipe is 25mm in diameter and is fed off of a 25mm hose.
A flow of 60 litres per minute at 3 bar pressure is required
to operate the system, which should be supplied through
a short length of 1" hose.
With the plastic couplings provided
the five metre sections can be permanently joined creating
30 metre unit, once on site. This allows quick and easy
movement without continually disconnecting the system. It
also prevents the accumulation of dirt at every pipe change,
reducing the blockages caused and an unwanted splurge of
water at each move.
Three people are required to move the
system.
